The first Saturday of each month, Home Depot offers a free Kid’s Workshop where children can gain hands-on experience using tools to build a wooden project.  In addition to the craft, children receive a free apron, pin, and certificate of completion.

The next Workshop is July 7, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Kids can build their very own working Penske moving truck!

There is no advance registration required. The class is designed for ages 5 – 12.

Join the Mid-Missouri Walk for Autism presented by Ella’s Hope. Registration and t-shirt pick up as well as Kid Zone Activities will begin at 9:30 am and the walk will begin at 11:00 am. There will be a raffle for several prizes after the walk! Strollers and bikes are welcome on this 1.25 mile walk around Cosmo Park. There is no fee to walk. But if you donate $20 you will receive a t-shirt and entry into the raffle. Ask your family and friends to participate in this wonderful event that will benefit The MU Thompson Center for Autism and TouchPoint Autism Service.

Jefferson City Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt Times vary by age
Memorial Park, Jefferson City
This special event will be open to children ages 2 to 7 years old.
Children will be divided into three age groups and the park will be ­divided into three sections. Children ages 2 and 3 will begin their hunt at 11:00 a.m.; ages 4 and 5 at 11:10 a.m. and ages 6 and 7 at 11:20 a.m. Parents will not be allowed in the hunting area except for the 2 and 3 year old area. Registration fee is $1 per child and will be accepted at the park the day of the event. All proceeds go to benefit other community projects in Jefferson City.
