Watching a movie during prime time hours can be challenging for families and children with Autism and sensory issues. Goodrich Quality Theaters is proud to present Lights Up, Sound Down (LUSD), a monthly program open to everyone, but specificallygiving families & children with Autism and sensory issues the opportunity to enjoy their favorite movies in a comfortable, sensory – friendly setting with the lights turned up and volume turned down in the auditorium.

Come join us in the fun of learning how things are done on a farm and where some of the everyday products we use come from! There will be many activities for kids to enjoy with no set schedule! Celebrate National Pet week with a pet parade and pet contests (Best Costume, So Ugly You’re Cute, and Wildest Hair-do) on the Capitol lawn immediately following the parade. No pre-registration or entrance fee required. There will be pictures starting at 12:30 p.m. at the courthouse and following the parade on the Capitol lawn. (In the event of rain, all activities will be cancelled).

Jefferson City Station Volunteers and the Jefferson City Convention and Visitor’s Bureau will provide light refreshments during the event.
