Columbia Bike Walk & WheelTrails Run 5K Walk & 10K Bike 9 a.m.

Join the walk/run or bike on one of Columbia’s most beautiful trails. The run/walk/bike is not a timed event. Pre-registration is not required. Free! All participants will get a t-shirt.

Wings over Whiteman Air Show 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Whiteman AFB, Knob Noster, MO
This great family-friendly event is held at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, Missouri. Admission is free! Permitted items include: folding chairs, strollers, wagons, purses/diaper bags, beverages in clear containers, cameras, wheelchairs, and binoculars. Be sure to check out the flying schedule before you head out!

In this monthly program, offered through May, we’ll share stories, songs and activities that focus on skills your child needs to be ready for school. Each month is different, but you can come to any or all sessions.

The Story Tree goes outdoors. Walk the Naturescape Trail between 10 and 11 a.m. and find a volunteer naturalist ready to share a
storybook or two with you. Enjoy a story AND go outside! (In case of inclement
weather the Story Tree will come indoors.)

Bike, Walk & Wheel Week: Wheelchair Wash & Roll 12 – 4 p.m.

Come enjoy a recreational roll around Stephens Lake Park.  Free wheelchair detailing and snacks available for all participants.  Encourage all participants to park in the Old 63 Lot.  For more information, call Services for Independent Living at 573-874-1646.

Join the Mid-Missouri Walk for Autism presented by Ella’s Hope. Registration and t-shirt pick up as well as Kid Zone Activities will begin at 9:30 am and the walk will begin at 11:00 am. There will be a raffle for several prizes after the walk! Strollers and bikes are welcome on this 1.25 mile walk around Cosmo Park. There is no fee to walk. But if you donate $20 you will receive a t-shirt and entry into the raffle. Ask your family and friends to participate in this wonderful event that will benefit The MU Thompson Center for Autism and TouchPoint Autism Service.

Mizzou will hold their 2012 Black & Gold Football Game on Saturday, April 14, 2012.  Strollers are allowed into Memorial Stadium, just make sure it will fold up if you plan to bring it into the seating area.

There will be inflatable games, balloon animals, face painting and more at the Fan Zone! Admission to the game is $3 or 3 cans of food to benefit the Food Bank of Central and North East Missouri.
