University of Missouri Safe Kids Discovery Day Event 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The University of Missouri Children’s Hospital and Injury Prevention and Safety Outreach Program will introduce Safe Kids Discovery Day on Saturday, June 23, 2012. This 1-day carnival-style event will include many great FREE activities
Boonville Heritage Days
This wonderful family-friendly festival starts Wednesday, June 20th in Boonville. It was even voted the best festival of rural Missouri!! You will be able to check out the carnival, a HUGE parade, arts & crafts vendors and MUCH more!
Open Recreation in the Game Room 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Armory, Columbia Bored on Saturday mornings and afternoons? Come to the Armory to play pool, ping-pong, foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, Xbox360, safe darts, arcade games or just watch a movie.
What’s Going On? Missouri’s Outdoor Glitches 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Walk-in (All ages) We will examine myths, wives tales, and facts about plants and animals of Missouri that cause discomfort to many. Measures can be taken to make our time exploring the wonders of Missouri more enjoyable.

Build & Grow Workshop: Monkey Powered Plane Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles, a project-themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion of their project. Be sure to pre-register as space is limited. Cost: FREE

Stop by the deck at Bass Pro for a FREE fun fishing experience for the kids! Every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.(weather permitting) the kids can enjoy fishing on the deck with the Bass Pro staff. All equipment is provided.
Bass Pro Family Summer Camp 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Did you love summer camp when you were a kid? The whole family can enjoy summer camp at Bass Pro! June 9 – July 15 on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday Bass Pro will offer FREE activities for the whole family! There will be a free shooting range, shooting arcade, and casting targets! You can even get a free photo download on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 – 5 p.m. Crafts are from 1 – 4 p.m.

Hot Summer Nights Family Concert Series: Peter & the Wolf 3 p.m.
Missouri Theater
As a part of the Hot Summer Nights Family Concert Series, the Missouri Theater will host Hot Summer Nights: Peter and the Wolf. Paul Pepper will narrate as the Missouri Symphony Orchestra welcomes Ronald McDonald & performs works by MacDowell, McBride & Maxwell Davies. Tickets are $25 for a family pack of 5, $10 adult, $5 student, general admission.
