Bored on Saturday mornings and afternoons? Come to the Armory to play pool, ping-pong, foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, Xbox360, safe darts, arcade games or just watch a movie.

Columbia Public Library
If you want to rekindle your interest in building models or if you want to introduce the hobby to your kids, then join us for demonstrations on building techniques. Kids 10 years and older with parental supervision can make a model to take home. You will need to register for the building portion of the program, but the demonstrations are open to all. Presented by the Central Missouri Scale Modelers. Ages 10 and older for the activity.

Lowe’s Build & Grow Workshop 10 a.m.
Build & Grow Workshop: Kung Fu Panda Stacking Friends.  Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles, a project-themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion of their project.  Be sure to pre-register as space is limited. Cost: FREE

Stop by Orscheln Farm & Home on Saturday to make a free project to take home! In July kids will be able to make a marshmallow shooter! All supplies are provided!

Bass Pro Kid’s Fishing On The Deck 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Stop by the deck at Bass Pro for a FREE fun fishing experience for the kids! Every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.(weather permitting) the kids can enjoy fishing on the deck with the Bass Pro staff. All equipment is provided.

Free Tours of Connor’s Cave 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Rock Bridge Memorial State Park
Every Saturday and Sunday afternoon June 30 through August 19  you can enjoy a free guided tour of Connor’s Cave using park lights and helmets. Walk the Devil’s Icebox Trail on your own until you reach Devil’s Icebox where volunteers will assist you. Learn about caves and bats. Tours last about 15 minutes. Expect to get your feet wet!  Arrive anytime between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.  Reservations are not required.  The tours are recommended for ages 5 and up.

Moths are S’More than Chocolate Brown 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Gilbert Memorial Picnic Shelter at Rock Bridge Memorial State Park
Come to the Gilbert Memorial Picnic Shelter anytime during the event to see moths that have been attracted by light and bait. Local entomologist and photographer Donna Brunet will be on hand to share information about the moths we see. Also, ingredients will be provided for those who would like to make and eat S’mores, courtesy of the Friends of Rock Bridge Memorial State Park. This is one of two events planned to celebrate National Moth Week. The recommended age is 7 years and up. Reservations are not required.
