Jefferson City’s Salute to America – Be sure to check out the annual 4th of July celebration. The event features numerous attractions in downtown Jefferson City: carnival rides, parade, live music, beer gardens, classic car show and the largest fireworks spectacular in mid-Missouri! - 7:00 p.m. - Little Mr. & Miss Independence Contest
- 7:30 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies
- 9:00 p.m. - Prison Ghost Tours (buy tickets in advance)

- 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. - Jefferson Bank High Street Heroes
- 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. – Carnival Land!
- 3 p.m. - Live Eagle Show
- 3:15 p.m. – Hot Dog Eating Contest
- 5 p.m. – Live Eagle Show
- 7 p.m. – Pre-show Celebration with Live Eagle Show
- Dusk - ”Red White & Boom Fireworks Display with simulcast on Jeff 104.1

Columbia’s 4th of July Fire in the Sky – Fire in the Sky has relocated in 2012 to the District! Entertainment starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be children’s activities at Flat Branch Park that includes holiday crafts & pop-a-shot basketball! The fireworks begin after 9 p.m. and will be choreographed to music that you can hear on BXR 102.3. There is free parking downtown or on University campus. Be sure to check out the full schedule before you head out!
- 6:30 p.m. – Entertainment starts at Flat Branch Park
- 9:00 p.m. – Fireworks begin sometime after 9 p.m.
