The Jefferson City Fire Department will celebrate their centennial with a weekend full of celebration! Friday there will be a street fair in Downtown Jefferson City. Saturday there will be a Fire Service Parade at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Fire Engine Rally at 12:00 p.m. at the Capitol.
Organizers are hopeful the parade will be the largest parade of front line and antique fire trucks. Approximately 110 fire engines are scheduled to be in attendance! There will even be some units that were involved in the operations on 9/11.
At 1:30 p.m. bagpipe and drum corps will perform in the 200 block of High Street for about an hours.
