Celebrate National Pet week with a pet parade and pet contests (Best Costume, So Ugly You’re Cute, and Wildest Hair-do) on the Capitol lawn immediately following the parade. No pre-registration or entrance fee required. There will be pictures starting at 12:30 p.m. at the courthouse and following the parade on the Capitol lawn. (In the event of rain, all activities will be cancelled).

Jefferson City Station Volunteers and the Jefferson City Convention and Visitor’s Bureau will provide light refreshments during the event. Children’s activity books will be distributed as well as other Amtrak and community information. Two Amtrak trains will pass through traveling to St. Louis and Kansas City during the event.
