When I was expecting my first child I was told that the “must have” book(s) were from the What to Expect series… and boy was that true. As a first-time mom, I thought that I could just figure most things out as I went. Which sounded good in theory until I had some crazy pregnancy symptom that I had never experienced before. Do I go to the hospital? Do I rest? I had no idea!
The first book that helped me was What to Expect When Expecting. It helped me understand what was happening with each week of pregnancy plus my husband loved keeping up with his growing daughter! Before she was born I bought the next book in the series, What to Expect the First Year. I actually bought the Kindle version since I figured it would be easier to access in the middle of the night (it was!)!
With my daughter just turning two I am just now cracking open What to Expect the Second Year. It’s hard to believe that she’s already a two! I’m sure it will come in handy just like the previous two have.

As a mom, I feel like I’m constantly struggling to stay organized. I absolutely adore my iPhone but feel like I need to actually write out my lists, schedules, etc. to stay on track. I’m pretty sure my love for planners started in middle school.
I have never been satisfied with the boring planners found at office supply stores. Recently, I came across Erin Condren’s Life Planners. Oh. My. Gosh. Life changing. This is seriously the best planner! It’s super cute, It’s personalized, and you can even add photos!
The cover is heavily laminated so you don’t have to worry about it getting beat up over the year.
Don’t need a planner? Erin Condren offers lots of adorable personalized products. iPhone and iPad cases, stationery, teacher lesson planner, and much more! The iPad case is on my Mother’s Day wish list (hint ,hint).
